Worthit! Ball Pit and Paddling Pool

May 7, 2008 by · 3 Comments

Worthit! Ball Pit Recently, when I visit other parents homes, a lot of them have these ball pits and the bambino loves them. I purchased the one pictured (I will be keeping an eye out for a funkier one) today from Woolworths and was very surprised to discover that they are for age 3+!

But, I’m supervising the bambino in hers….plus every other Tom, Dick, and Harry seems to be OK with having their babies in one (supervised)…

This particular one in submarine style can actually be filled with balls or water and even before I started pumping it up (you definitely need a pump), the bambino lay across it in excitement. My back is bleepin’ hurting me though after standing up to do the pumping!

Anyway, she absolutely loves it. Diving into it, throwing herself on the balls (not included) and then tipping the balls out and laughing as she sees me trying to gather them all up….

It’s excellent value at £10 (I’ve heard ‘rumours’ of a pirate ship version available at Sainsbury’s for around a fiver but could find no trace of it online and I don’t live near one) and the pack of 100 balls (yes I had to pick up 100 balls from my floor) are£4.99 by Chad Valley. Oh and the balls are suitable for 3+ too!

*Woolies closed down since this post was originally published and none of the items are available on the site.

I thought I would NEVER have something like this…. I was wrong! We have a rainbow shaded paddling pool from Sainsbury’s for £5.99 (I think) ELC do playballs from 9 months. £10 for 100 but often on 3 for 2. Off to blow mine up :0)

That’s funny! I’m like you – I NEVER would have thought I’d own something like it but she loves it.It’s a shame they don’t do it in something at little less blinding on the eye but who am I to get in the way of an 11 month old hurling herself at the balls! I warn you – blowing them up is not for the faint hearted!

just so you know you can get the bag of 100 balls, for £2.00 a bag at tescos direct online. They are half price at the moment but i dont think it will last for long.
