Weekend Inspiration : Metamorphosis Butterfly Frock

March 23, 2013 by Claire in Clothing, Latest, Make Your Own with 0 Comments

Dust of those sewing machines and get creative this weekend because this dress is a fabulous demonstration of how to do butterflies without all that frou-frou. Running with Scissorsis obviously more than a bit good with a sewing machine, so if your skills (like mine, sob) aren’t quite up to this level, then use this as inspiration and *cough* cheat. (Think iron ons, patches and the like). This dress was inspired by an image on shutterstock, a tunic from You & Mie, and the much loved The Very Hungry Caterpillar book. The result of which is a fabulous frock that my little legged one was eyeing up with delight as I created this post!

Big thanks to Kitschy Coo for giving us the heads up about this one.
