This is a rather intricate light made of metal and glass from Ilva, the sort of more ‘upmarket’ Ikea type store.

I’m quite surprised at the design of this Vintage Propeller Plane Pendant which seems to be a random standalone item in its childrens collection. It’s just not the sort of thing I expect from Ilva who are lots of understated black, white, and wood furniture free of lots of detail.

But I like this little vintage piece even though it wouldn’t fit in with my tastes. It would work well with neutral tones or a transport theme in a baby nursery or childs bedroom. It certainly makes a change from a regular light shade!

£70 from Ilva but only available in stores. My nearest one is Lakeside.
