Three wonderful windbreaks

July 29, 2010 by Lucy · Leave a Comment

A windbreak is a handy item to take along on a camping trip. Not only will it protect you from the elements, it extends your living area and affords you a bit of additional privacy. Here are three of our favourites. First up is The Reefer Sail Company’s upcycled version, £99 for three panels. Each of the company’s products – from bags to cushions – are made from rescued boat and windsurf sails, kites, paragliders, hang gliders and microlights and you can ‘trace your sail’ on their website. Watch out for a post on their amazing children’s deckchairs soon.

Meanwhile, over at Folksy I uncovered this vintage floral fabric delight by Nellie and Eve. Priced at £40, it’ll give any plot a touch of Carry on Camping chic.

If you fancy something a bit more modern, Camping with Soul’s tongue-in-cheek Dry Stone Wall windbreak, £43, is the one for you. They also have a Laurel Hedge version and some amazing bell tents and super-glam accessories you just have to check out.
