The 6 Way Maternity Dress

6 Way Maternity Dress Black

Natalie writes…A little while back, I was sent one of these 6 Way Maternity Dresses to check out. These first came to my attention when I saw some press about them being featured on the Lorraine Kelly GMTV show, and naturally being pregnant again, I was curious about this multitasking concept.

The idea is that it’s one dress that can be worn six ways so halterneck, cross over, one shoulder, cap sleeves, strapless, or as a skirt. Designed to skim instead of clinging to the body, I see it working well for women who wear a lot of black and who also have a need to wear long dresses quite often. You also need to be prone to wearing this looser fit that skims rather being fitted . It’s in a heavy polyester/elastane fabric which no doubt helps with fit and makes it easy to wash and wear, although my dinky self would find this a bit hot for me.

You can wear it whilst breastfeeding and naturally you may find yourself continuing to wear it long after you’ve had a baby. It definitely needs accessories to jazz it up – jewellery I think is key here.

At £85 from Glow Maternity & Baby in sizes small to extra large (10/12-18/20) if you fit the bill, this is a smart, great value buy that will take you through 9 months and beyond.

For me, I don’t wear these styles of dresses and prefer a different fit, with more colour, but practical, black clothing loving mamas are in for a 6 dress bonanza!
