I originally wrote about Swobbles a while back and it was only when I was recently sent one to check out that I got to understand the importance of how they are made.
Whilst they are a soft toy, they’re particularly suitable for asthma sufferes because the toys use vinyl easy clean technology – VECT.
VECT stops dust mites and germs from being stored in the fabric so conditions like asthma don’t get aggravated. They’re wipe clean so they never have to go near the washing machine plus the material keeps its shape. I won’t scare you with some test information about the level of germs in soft toys but even I winced. There are no harmful dies used and when you give it a wipe down it takes about 5 minutes for them to dry.
This probably wouldn’t be the typical soft toy I’d buy, but I let the bambino test it out and as soon as I took it out the box, her eyes widened and she did a snatch and grab on me. The giraffe pictured is definitely my favourite in terms of colour. There is a fairy decent sized range of animals in equally superbright colour combos. I wonder if they’ll introduce black into any of their colour combos….
