Sun-San Sandals
Kids shoes just keep getting better and better and another brand to be a super fan of are cult US shoe makers Sun-San. These durable leather sandals have been going strong in the US since the 1940s. Coated in water resistant sealant, they can run around on the beach and in water and can even be popped in the washing machine. Featuring rust proof buckles and breathable rubber soles, there are five designs – Swimmer (plaited open toe), Surfer (single classic toe strap), Shark (fisherman style with a semi-closed toe), Sweetheart (like Surfer’s with heart cut-outs) and Seawee (funny name – baby versions of the Surfer).
Saria’s been checking out a pair and absolutely loves hers and despite her ability to make a shoe look months old in a week, hers still look like new despite plenty of rough and tumble. Available in a variety of colours, sizes start from birth up to youth size 3, plus they also do adult pairs in under their Salt Water name up to size 8. Very cool!
