Stokke Hippo Rocking Chair

I’m a bit fascinated by this seesaw looking thing!

Basically, the Stokke Hippo Rocking Chair can actually have two people on it at the same time. It comes in two sizes, large or small, with adults being able to go on both but being more relaxed on the large, although the large version requires a bit more space.

The large Hippo is certainly an ‘alternative’ rocking chair. From when your child is a baby you can sit in it and rock them to sleep and then when they’re toddlers, they can lie on the shaped runners (the light green curved wood) as you rock them to sleep or they can sit on it from 2 onwards.

The small Hippo is aimed at children one to five although adults can still rock on it but probably won’t find it as comfy as the large. If you don’t have the space, or your budget doesn’t stretch as far as the large Hippo, the small is ideal.

Dimensions Hippo Large - 27 X 107 X 51

Dimensions Hippo Small - 25 X 93 X 45 cm

The Stokke Hippo’s are available from BackInAction for £224 for the large and £116 for the small, with the small available in natural beech.

I received my Hippo this morning.. And it ROCKS!!!!! literally! lol

I did get it for Sophie-Isabella BUT my 3 boys haven’t left it alone all day, and although I brought the Small Hippo.. It fits all 3 boys on it at the same time!! and they’re age 7, 5 and nearly 4!!!

If anyone is thinking of buying one of these… I cannot recommend it enough! Even i fit on it!! and i’m not a small Mummy!! ;o)

If i had the money, i would have DEF got a Large Hippo! but as the Small one is Big enough for 3-4 kids to play on together, its perfect!!

    go buy one!!!!!!!!!!!
