Sewn Natural

There’s nothing I love more than stumbling upon a fabulous new Etsy store. So I was super-excited to find Ottawa-based Sewn Natural, a veritable cornucopia of natural textile goodies. There’s almost too much wonderful stuff to choose from – upcycled party dresses, organic sleep sacks, pretty and practical car seat organisers – but here are my three favourite buys.

I find it hard to resist cheeky monkeys and this little fellow, $58, is no exception with his cheerful orange organic cotton fleece body. His name is Marlow and apparently he ‘studied Urban Design in university, likes to surf and makes a fabulous omelette’.

Every mum knows you can never have too many blankets, so there’s no excuse for not snapping up this wonderful one featuring birds and branches, $53, almost too stylish to leave to the little ones.

Finally, a beautiful handcrafted bag for your favourite toddler. Each one is completely unique, although obviously I fell in love with this vintage fabric owl motif on a dazzling yellow background, $46 – just gorgeous and essential for all those bits that little people insist on carrying around.
