I’m really into quilts at the moment, but I just can’t do the whole ditsy Cath Kidston vintage thing, much as I’d like to reinvent myself as a domestic goddess. So, it’s bright, bold and modern all the way, which is why I love this electric guitar quilt that I uncovered on handmade haven Coriandr.

hot buy bambino goodiesIn black, with flashes of purple, turquoise and silver, it’s just the thing for your mini metalhead to nap under after a night on the tiles. It would look equally fab adorning the wall or as a throw on a chair in an older child’s room, but the most amazing thing about the quilt is that it’s only £25 (plus £7 p&p). There’s a more girlie hot pink and leopard-print colourway available and the seller, creambunbakery, also offers appliqued bibs, T-shirts, cushions and personalised drawstring bags. Rock ‘n’ roll.

I wish I was 5 again. I’d definitely want one of them in my rockin little crib. Maybe I should have some kids now, that way I can buy one ;)
