PlayPlax

| January 5, 2011 | 1 Comment

There are some toys which transport me back to those crazy days of being a weird child and upon seeing PlayPlax I had one of those moments. PlayPlax was released in the 60s and is considered a toy of sufficient note to be included in the permanent collection at the V&A.

Like all truly brilliant toys, the concept is simple: a set of coloured clear polystyrene slotted squares which can be fitted together. They can be used to make all manner of abstract and life-like structures and have an undeniably addictive quality. I think that at £15.99 (+ £4.25 P&P) it is a reasonable price for a design classic and all round marvellous toy.
