This site is founded on the fear of ugly plastic child-related gear and a desire to find beautiful alternatives. Seeing this drawing board reminded me of that so sharply – I think magnetic drawing boards are a great idea but had never before seen one I could live with.
The Oekaki House drawing board comes from hot Japanese brand gg* founded by two girls with a passion for children’s creativity. The wooden house has a magnetic drawing board, three shapes and a pen to draw on the board and a dog figure who runs across the house to wipe the board. I love the design especially the beads at the top which remind me of old fashioned blackboards.
