Maileg Mouse House

maileg mouse house Mice are not the type of thing that I’d normally rave about… but I’m fascinated by the Maileg Mouse House. Aside from the fact that it’s effectively a dolls house for a mouse, albeit a doll mouse…, I think this is a beautifully crafted, unusual toy for imaginative play.

It was nominated for the Formland Design Award last year (tres prestigious) and the house has been inspired by Swiss cheese. A Danish design by Dorthe Mailil, it’s full of little details like the bed being a large matchbox with a rug and pillow, a little welcome mat, and a chair and table. It even has a mini preserving cloth for a table cloth and thimbles for drinking cups. It’s exquisite!

From Treehouse Blue. £49.95
