Create a magnetised feature wall with Magic Wall Magnetic Paint

magnetic wall paint

I did a post on creating a feature wall with wallpaper last year which has proved to be one of the most read, but if the idea of having an entirely magnetic wall in your child’s bedroom or playroom floats your boat, you’ll need to use something like Magic Wall Magnetic Paint.

A non-toxic paint that can be used on walls and work surfaces for creative play, put on a couple of coats (at least) and then paint over it with emulsion paint in whatever colour you were intending. Decorate the wall or surface with stuff like magnetic letters and picture frames, plus you can hang up their artwork with magnets as opposed to using pins and tapes.

Be warned though, this is not for heavy duty stuff and is more suitable for lightweight magnets. You can get tins of Magic Wall Magnetic Paint for £17.99 for 0.473 litres which covers 1.2 – 1.4 sq metres right up to £99.99 for 3.8 litre tins which cover 10 sq metres.

I wonder if it would work with blackboard paint over the top? Would that be super cool or what?

You’d certainly have the best of both worlds. Have a post going out tomorrow on chalkboard walls and just deciding on which chalkboard paint to feature but will update both posts with your idea :-)
