If you’ve been reading this blog for long enough then you’ll know that I don’t like to sacrifice style for function, which is why I really like the K1 and K2 highchairs from Küster, “creators of beautiful and useful products for children”. Loving it!

The K1 (left) comes in a variety of colours and lasts until your baby is 6 years old. It has a five point harness system, the foot rest is adjustable, there is a fab storage basket, and the legs are adjustable if you have uneven flooring. The curved wood seat and decent sized back encourage correct posture and it’s easy to clean right down to being able to wash the harness. Oh and did I mention that you can lift this highchair out of the box and unfold?

I love the clean, ergonomic design of the K2 which calls out to the stylish, minimalist within us. It has many of the same features as the K1, such as the basket, adjusting legs, easy to clean etc and it also lasts until they’re six.

Both the Küster K1 and K2 come in white, cream, beech, and slate with various cushion options. For me, I love the white! I have seen these highchairs in action and I really like them. It’s great to be able to achieve function with style and more and more parents do want highchairs that also fit into the decor of the home rather than standing out like a sore, albeit practical, thumb!

Do shop around. The K1 has a RRP of £125 but I just found the slate one on The Natural Baby Resource for £75. I believe that the K2 retails for around £95 but have found it at Bambino Direct for £75.

Remember to shop around and also check to see what is included with the price!
