Ikea Hack: Ladder into Steps

Eagle-eyed Eve spotted this inspired hack over at Ikea Hackers.

Grace from Australia needed a way for her daughter to be able to climb in and out of her bed safely as she couldn’t use the attached ladder. Enter a Trofast unit and a handmade safety rail and they have a set of wide stairs to climb in and out of bed.

Of course if you are planning this at home you have to assess the safety of the set up for yourself. Personally I think Ikea should take note and provide a hack kit to adapt the units themselves!
