Hot Maternity Coat Alert! TopShop Maternity Swing Jacket

I have to say, Kat’s come up trumps with this TopShop Maternity Swing Jacket which she featured over on Mama to Be Goodies a couple of weeks back.
The great thing about the TopShop Maternity line is that the pieces are based on the main range of stock and have been altered for pregnancy so there are some stylish, colourful buys in the range. The downside is they tend, like a lot of TopShop gear these days, to be a little overpriced. But on this occasion, I’m liking the price.
I love the pleats across the chest and in the centre of the back, and the slightly puffy raised shoulders which we also saw in the M&S Funnel Neck Military Coat yesterday make it effortlessly chic. They say it’s navy and we’ll have to believe them and it is a shame that it’s not in black or a brighter colour. But let’s not split hairs here, the coat is hot! It doesn’t look too heavy which if you’re anything like I was when I was pregnant in winter, will be a relief because very thick coats made me feel like I was about to spontaneously combust!
