Wendy houses were central to my early years and they’re back were a se-ri-ous bang with this stunning buy by one of my favourite stores, Habitat. Forget character covered stuff – retro prints on cotton canvas mix with plummy borders on the doors and windows is the way to roll.

After a spate of teepees, including another BG favourite, Habitat’s geronimo tents (they have a new print on these by the way), it’s wonderful to see the wendy being reinterpreted for a modern comeback. Imaginations can run wild as your child plays house in this great spot for all their pretend play gear.

***Update***I should clarify that this is one of the new pieces from their autumn collection entering stores later this month. I will update this with a date asap.

OOh I want one! I was always jealous of my little sister’s wendy house, I might have this one “for the children”.

I have wondered to myself today if I’ll be able to fit in there with the bambino ;)

This is lovely! I called my local Habitat in Kingston, Surrey, and they say they have never stocked this. Which branch did you find it in? Thanks.

This is a new stock item that’s due to come into stores as part of their autumn winter collection. Will chase up press office to get date.
