Dedicated BG readers will know I’m not really a pink person, or slogans for that matter and yet…after baby Nia wore her gift of a a long sleeved version of the ‘Little Princess’ onesie by US company Glamajama, I’ve discovered that there are some things that bring out the girlie girl in me.

I think what was bound to grab me was the showstopping factor – these onesies are ‘couture’ pieces featuring embellishments and sparkling, iridescent, organza ruffles on the bum so your baby girl can make like she’s in a tutu. The onesies are studded on the outside so they don’t touch your baby’s skin and just turn them inside out and wash as normal. If you like a celebrity name check, the likes of Oprah, Demi Moore, Kate Hudson, and Britney Spears are big fans.

From £22 for long sleeved starting from 3-6 months at Mumsaid and lounge suits are available too.

Pair with a loud pair of tights and go the whole hog like me and pair with some little ballet shoes by Baby Bloch’s, which are £20 each at Bohemia Design and the height of cool when it comes to sophisticated footwear for baby girls.
