The Count _How I Love_ T-shirt - Fabric flavours.jpgHungry Caterpillar 01.jpg

Those who have been following this blog for long enough know that I don’t do kiddified so it means that there has been very little character led products featured on BG. However, that hasn’t stopped me from becoming a fan of Fabric Flavours , designers that specialise in high quality retro t-shirts that feature some of our favourite TV, book, and magazine characters of our youth including Enormous Crocodile, Horrid Henry, the Hungry Caterpillar, Mr Men, Little Miss, and Sesame Street.

The bambino and I checked out the Count ‘How I Love’ t-shirt  which is a rather cool collection of colours, with the Count printed on the front. The embroidery detail is fantastic, with numbers embroidered on the front and back, in both outlines and fully filled in, a ‘Count von Count’ in chunky embroidery serif letters on the back, a cool little Sesame Street label in the corner, a nice fitted round neck, contrasting stitching on the hems of the sleeve and waist, and a printed numerical lining. Very edgy, yet still childishly cool £16 in sizes 12-18 to 6-7 years

Big fans of Eric Carle’s, The Very Hungry Caterpillar will adore the t-shirt that’s been created to celebrate the 40th anniversary. Featuring an embroidered book title and little fruits with embroidered holes in them across the bottom. £16 in sizes from 12-18  months to 4-5 years.

I have to say, after seeing many a child’s t-shirt of varying quality, these are exceptionally good quality so they don’t have that thin, cheap feel to them and they look expensive.

Every Fabric Flavours t-shirt design has it’s own special quirk (their Little Miss Naughty t-shirt pictured, features her pulling the stitching from the hem) and this is the place to go if you want your nostalgia with clever, high quality, fun design. A definite hot buy!
