Workington floods

I know that you will have seen the Cumbrian floods on the news. We have all been shocked by their devastation and our thoughts go out to everyone affected. Both Natalie and myself know people in the area and wanted to do something to help so we decided to run a charity auction and raffle to help raise funds for Cumbria Flood Recovery Fund.

I sent out the idea to other parent bloggers via British Mummy Bloggers and Twitter on Saturday night and the response was phenomenal. Not only are our fellow bloggers helping us raise awareness, they are gathering lots to auction and getting involved with the organising – what a fabulous group!

When will it be? Monday 30th November – Sunday 6th December. We are currently working out the finer details of how the auction will run and will keep you updated. The main pages for the auction will be here at Bambino Goodies and you can be sure that we will aim to make the lots as amazing as possible! We are also hoping to run a raffle alongside the auction so that everyone can donate and be in with a chance of scooping some goodies but as I say, we will let you know more when it is finalised.

We are currently making requests for auction lots, the more blue sky the better. If you are able to donate please visit the request document here for details of how to do so and updates will also be on my personal blog: Housewife Confidential.

Want to get involved? Email us at: cumbriafloodauction [at!] googlemail.com and remember to add the @ sign.
