BRIO ‘Sleep’ Cotbed

Natalie writes…
Some of you may know already that I am a huge BRIO fan and when I discovered their cots earlier this year, I nearly wept because I wanted one straight away. We own the beautiful Leander Cotbed but now the BRIO ‘Sleep’ Cotbed is right up there beside it, and I have decided that when we have the next bambino, this is at the top of the shortlist.

Designed to last until your child is about 5 or 6, these Swedish beauties convert from cot, to daybed, to junior bed in effortless style. It has 3 adjustable heights when it’s a cot, remove the sides to make it the daybed, and then its minimalist style for the junior bed with it’s little yellow sidepanels. The corners have the slightest curves, and the legs and sidepanel legs are stainless steel, and it has a multi layer gloss finish which is wipe clean.
Dimensions: H 88.5 cm, L 144 cm, W 74 cm.
The overall look is a super bright cotbed with a really contemporary edge. It’s modern, yet classic, much like their baby toys I love so much. It lights up the room but it doesn’t take over and it will certainly fit into the home of discerning parents with a penchant for design-led products.
It’s £199.99 at Mothercare and I have seen it for as much as £280. You’ll need to buy a separate mattress though and it’s also available in white or natural wood if yellow’s not your thang.

Ohh – I have the Brio white cotbed in white and it;s lovely. Was so difficult to get hold of a cot with metal legs and it was between this and the Aspace Tribeca but the price of the Brio won over in the end. Looks truly lovely in the nursery!
