Ooh, I am a bit fascinated by this bit of gadgetry! Believe it or not, even though it may look a bit like an alarm system for your home, the Bebetel Bluetooth is a baby monitor.

It connects to your mobile phone via a landline or Bluetooth connection and will basically call you if your bambino starts crying. There’s a bit of a Miss Marple come spying on the babysitter vibe too as you can call it up, without it ringing, and check on your baby or the babysitter without their knowledge.

This is aimed at travelling situations as it’s more than a bit much if you’re not going anywhere! If you’re camping or staying somewhere without a landline, you can naturally use the Bluetooth and at hotels, you won’t have to plug into the landline. It dials out to any programmed number with zero interference and unlimited range and comes with a 2 year manufacturers warranty.

At £195, this is quite a chunky investment so I imagine it would really only be considered by heavy travellers. Available from Bebetel.
