I was very excited to spot that the Gallop!: A Scanimation Picture Book by Rufus Butler Seder has been reduced from £9.99 to £4.99 on Amazon – it will be in the bambino’s stocking next week!
I featured this very cool book back in July after I saw it in the flesh at Bubble. Highly innovative, it makes pictures move and come to life using a new technology called ‘Scanimation’, which is based on the same principles as kinetoscopes and other old style techniques that employ optical illusion.
I can’t wait to see the bambino’s face when sess the horse galloping, the dog running (she loves dogs although she keeps calling them ‘deeyas’ and also barking and collapsing in giggles when she sees them…) and all the other images. We’ve brought a few extra as we have several kid gifts to sort.
Available from the BG Amazon Store. They also have Kick! reduced from £9.99 to £5.99 which is focused on kids in action doing stuff like kicking a football and pirouetting on ice. Very cool!
