Zolo Baby Toys
I love the quirky, offbeat appeal of these toys by US brand Zolo
. Taking their inspiration from the theory of emotional intelligence (EQ) and working with child development experts, they’ve designed a range of toys that inspire their imaginations, build their self-confidence, and promote self-expression.
Developing skills such as hand-eye and fine motor skills co-ordination, dexterity, creative thinking, and auditory development through the use of colour, patterns, tactile stimulation through texture and sounds created from squeezing for instance, what results is a statement collection of fun toys.
I love the folio photo album (£12.99) which can hold four 4 X 6″ photos, a mirror, and a clip for attaching it to the cot, pushchair etc and makes a lovely gift. Nia loves looking at pictures of us and admiring herself so this would be an instant hit. The characters are fun and positive messages like ‘love is in my home’ appear on each page.
I’m equally enamoured with the award winning boa stack and squeeze (£25.99) which has four rings that make a moo, oink, ribbit, and chirp sound and when they finish stacking it, the giggling head congratulates the baby. Suitable from 6 months.
There’s also this hilarious looking haha ringo teething rings
(£7.99) suitable from birth that are certainly a very lively alternative to some of the more twee offerings on the market, plus there’s also a pop up box and other activity toys in the range at Peanut & Pip
