When I’ve seen food and medicine diaries in the past, they become obsolete once the pages have been filled, which is all the more reason why I like these wipe-able versions by Denise of Maxie and Teddy. After writing down night time feeds for both of her boys and dealing with severe colic, allergic reactions, fussy eating, and trying to ensure that they were getting balanced diets, Denise decided to produce notebooks that could be used by everyone involved in caring for children – parents, grandparents, childcare etc.

Her wipe-able food and medicine diaries can be used over and over again, and the flexible design means that you could keep track of more than one child and even note the routine for the day. Each page covers 24 hours and each book has two months worth of pages to fill. In the food diary, there’s a time, food type, and notes column, and in the medicine diary, there’s a time, temperature, medicine type, and amount given, plus a large notes area to write down observations and concerns from the day, along with symptoms.

We’ve just started using the food diary for the girls as after the bambino was a little poorly a while back her tummy was unsettled for quite a while, plus the baby (can’t believe she’s about to turn 6 months) is weaning, teething, and very unsettled at night.
