Window Sox – Full Window Car Sunshades

April 28, 2010 by · 3 Comments

I have been seeing these full window car sunshades around for a while and with a toddler so fair he ended a ten minute car trip with a burned cheek last week I went on the hunt for my own. After a bit of Googling and some suggestions on Twitter I bought Window Sox an Australian brand of sunshade.

Window Sox are a simple design which fits snugly over the rear doors of the car. They are made of a mesh which blocks out 80% of UV rays. Once the door is shut they cannot be removed (yesssssss!) and also allow the windows to be open without compromising sun protection. They are custom designed for over 400 vehicles so rather than hoping it will fit your car you will know it has be designed to fit like a glove. You need to take them off in wet weather or they will draw water inside the car but they are quick to whip on and off so this really is no bother. Before buying I took some time to read online reviews and found that similar products received complaints about noise when travelling at high speeds but as Window Sox fit over the entire window they don’t seem to experience this problem. This product is genius – I highly recommend it!

£27 per pair with free postage.

We’ve got these – they are absolutely brilliant. My only issue is that I have to keep washing them as the seagulls seem to see them as a target!

We’ve got them too – fantastic. And I know you are supposed to take them off when it rains but we never have and never had a problem with rain coming in.
