I must say that I am lusting after this cradle even if this is at the ‘upper end’ of the cradle market.
The designer, Kenneth Cobonpue was inspired on his return to his home in the Philipines when he realised he could used natural fibers and materials to create contemporary furniture.
The Voyage Cradle looks like the little sailboat that Iggle Piggle (In the Night Garden) sails away in every night…except for more exotic and contemporary. The rattan is hand woven on to the steel frame and tied with nylon filament to create a cozy cocoon and I love the beautiful curves of the cradle. I want it! Even if I don’t actually have a newborn to put in it…..
The mattress and pink covering are included and it takes about 30 days for delivery.
