I stumbled across this Italian brand called Vice Versa who are Italian contemporary designers of baby and homeware products. They’re pretty well known back in their native Italy yet I can find very little info on them.

One store, Fabulous Kids seems to stock a few of their items and they are definitely perfect for kitsch gifts.
