Tummy Tie

tummy tieWhen I was pregnant with baby Nia, I tried out a couple of jeans/trouser expander products and became really frustrated because I had to keep pulling up the back of my trousers up due to lack of enough tension on the elastic and how it worked with my trousers.

Even though I’m no longer pregnant and can shoehorn myself into most of my jeans, it’s best that I don’t eat too much when I’m out in some of them as I have to undo the top button… That was until I tried out Tummy Tie, which is another elasticated strip product, only the tension issue seems to have been resolved by the way it is stitched in the middle.

Ideal for using whilst pregnant, afterwards, or if you find yourself gaining weight and want to continue wearing your favourite trousers and skirts, there’s no fabric panel to be fannying around with, and instead it’s fastened to the button, threaded through the buttonhole and then fastens back onto the button, which ensures that the fit of your clothing doesn’t change and they don’t fall down at the back.

It works on front, back, and side fastenings and you get two black (2 differen sizes) and one white. They are shipped from Australia though, so the price is great, AUD$ 16.95 (around £9.50), the shipping is AUD$15 which is really my only negative. However, needs must and all that jazz, so if rocking the same clothes and not shelling out on a whole load of new stuff sounds up your street, it’s worth it.

  1. I didn’t use these expanders in particular but this type of thing saved me during pregnancy. Who wants to buy hundreds of pounds worth of clothing for each stage of pregnancy. So simple, but so effective!
