topshop maternity belted coatNatalie writes…Much as I love a sale, I love the thrill of new arrivals too, and felt myself come over all hot when I saw that there are some new pieces in at Topshop’s maternity and mini sections and I’ve highlighted a few of my favourites.

I bow at the maternity coat God for hearing my pleas to stray from black and excite me with colour, as their teal belted maternity coat is fantastic! Featuring sorcerer sleeves and a round collar with big buttons, this is exemplary high street maternity chic! Made from 83% wool and 17% nylon. £70 in sizes 8-16.*Updated 15/01/09 It’s now been reduced to £35! Result!

chunky shawl maternity jacket

I’m a cardi fanatic and heavily reliant on them in pregnancy and this chunky knit shawl cardigan made from 100% acrylic is the type of maternity staple that will work across a variety of looks. It’s got an oversize collar and contrasting knits and will fit neatly over your bump without taking you into fit to burst sausage territory. £35 in sizes 8-16.

I think I could be tempted into a pair of their superglossy high waisted leggings which put a bit of umph in what can end up being an overused staple in your wardrobe, and the gloss will give your legs great definition. £18 in sizes 8-16

simple pig slippersIn Topshop Mini, it’s all been shoe additions with blue baby Erin UGGs, and these Simple Pigs slippers which come in tan or a dusky pink – dare I suggest that they actually have another item that a boy can wear? They’re made from 100% cotton and feature a pig motif and are £15 each in small, medium, and large, although large is already sold out in the tan pair!
