Toffee Moon

Elli writes… Toffee Moon is a new luxury baby brand which specialises in soft and sweet clothes for babies from newborn to one year.

Browsing the range took me back to those early baby days when you’re wrapping your precious little one in snuggly natural fabrics in a palette of creams, pale pinks and pale blues. Newborns always look so delicious in pastels.

It’s the detail that sets this collection apart. I’m always drawn to the girls’ section first (mum to a baby daughter, of course) and liked the look of the Girls Gathered Sleepsuit (above left) with gentle ruching, those cute puff sleeves plus covered buttons which, putting them all together, justify the price tag of £26.The Girls Cap Sleeve Cardigan (above right) is a traditional take on the gilet, which is such a useful item as we enter the more inbetweeny weather of UK spring. Again, it’s the details that give this an edge, from the rolled hems to the unconventional spacing of the buttons. It’s £28 and 100% cotton.

The boys’ range is made up of similar items in pale blue. I like the panelling and mock buttons on the Boys Panel Sleepsuit (above left), which is £26. The pale blue polka dot Boys Wrapover Bodysuit (above right) has adorable little mock shirt cuffs and is £16.

The Toffee Moon collection also includes Hats in cream, pink, blue or blue stripe trim for £10 and a cream Shawl, £32.

You couldn’t go far wrong with a new baby gift from Toffee Moon as the presentation boxes look so lovely too. Shop to your heart’s content on the Toffee Moon website with standard UK delivery at £4.50. Everything I looked at is available in a choice of four sizes: newborn, 0-3, 3-6 or 6-12 months.
