I do love a coat rack, so much so that I still can’t make up my mind on one as there is too much choice!

First up are the very cool Squirrel Coat Racks from Utility Design which feature three squirrels clambering up a tree in either the glossy orange pictured or in matt black. Wall mounted, each squirrel sits at 45 degrees and along with the three branches, provides plenty of spots for your bambino to hang their gear. £20. Oh and did I mention that £2 from each sale goes to the Save Our Squirrels Campaign? A coat hook with a heart.

Going for the understated look is this simple beech coat stand from the epitome of simple cool, Muji. This is the small size which is £39.

Italian designers Magis wowed me a few weeks back when I saw their Paradise Coat Tree on Minor Details. It debuted at Milan Design Week 09 and is designed by Finnish artist Oiva Toikka as part of the Magis Me Too Collection, a collection of gorgeous robust, playful and design led objects and furniture for children aged two to six. No prices available yet so it’s one to lust after…for now…
