It’s been a while since I’ve featured anything weaning related and although baby Nia’s only 13 weeks, I’m already looking forward to cranking out fab meals with my Beaba Babycook steamer and blender.

But if you want an even quicker, simpler, cheaper alternative then it’s worth checking out The Wean Machine. Whilst it doesn’t steam, defrost, or reheat, what it does do is mash any cooked or soft food when you squeeze the handles together, putting them straight into the integral bowl, which you feed your baby straight out of. This gives you the exact portion you need so you don’t necessarily have to go freezing anything.

Ideal if you like your kitchen gadgets and want a halfway house between a full on blender or pulling together various implements from around the kitchen, this is £19.99 at Babyworld
