The Flexibath in redThe Flexibath

When we had ‘the bambino’, now 32 months, the boyf’s cousin handed down her baby bath to us and really, you have no idea how many times I cursed that thing. It’s not because it was white (mostly…) but because it was so bulky and there was nowhere to put it. Baby Nia has just outgrown her Tummy Tub, which we loved and was waaaay smaller, but I have to say, I love the concept of The Flexibath, the first foldable bath tub made of hard BPA and PVC free plastic and soft folding lines made of rubber.

The creation of two Danish designers, it folds flat and cleverly expands to take up to 39 litres and accommodates up to two babies. Suitable from birth up to four years, it’s got a non-slip base and a drain plug for easy emptying, and you can store it wherever you like, or set it up wherever you like. If you’re short on space or want to bath in a warmer room, this can easily be moved about.

It’s won prestigious awards such as the Formland Design Award and King & Jugend Innovation Award, which basically translates to highly regarded. At £34.95 each, this space saving design is bound to be popular and is available in several cool colours from The Butik (incidentally a rather cool store that has slipped onto my radar).
