The Pushchair Track: iCandy Apple Stroller

The Pushchair Track: iCandy Apple Stroller

| November 28, 2008 | 0 Comments

Natalie writes… Today’s featured pushchair, the British designed iCandy Apple Stroller has been making an increasing appearance when I’m out and about which is likely to have been triggered by a number of awards from baby magazines. Weighing in at a rather hefty 13.8kg with the seat on (10kg without), this is one of the [...]

The Pushchair Track: Britax Vigour 4+ Pushchair

| November 26, 2008 | 0 Comments

Natalie writes… Britax is a long established brand that seems to be gaining in popularity over the last few months, particularly with the release of their rather cool Baby Safe Sleeper, a lie flat car seat that can also be used as a moses basket, and also as the carrycot on today’s featured pushchair the [...]

The Pushchair Track: The Cosatto Mobi 3 in 1

Cosatto is definitely one of those brands that quietly sneaking up on you and gaining in popularity. They tend to go for quite vibrant shades even when they have limited colour options and are in the mid price category of pushchairs. Whilst they do position themselves as lightweight, it’s the chassis of the Cosatto Mobi [...]

The Pushchair Track: Silver Cross Sleepover Deluxe 2008

| November 21, 2008 | 0 Comments

Natalie writes… When I went through a phase of being in central London once or twice a week, I was amazed, not only at the number of these that I saw being pushed around, but also by the fact that many of them were being pushed onto buses! The Silver Cross Sleepover comes in two [...]

Natalie writes… I have to say, even though I’ve had my moments where this pushchair has wound me up, I still do love the Quinny Buzz 3 (I own one) and with new colours and a limited edition, the love is still strong as it’s getting an injection of newness! Weighing in at 12kg, this [...]

The Pushchair Track: The Stokke Xplory

| November 19, 2008 | 11 Comments

My friend and I were given a full demo by a member of the Stokke team at the Baby Show last year, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. She’s not even design or style mad like me and she still wants it (the whole one baby and a toddler close in age thing makes that tricky..).

The Pushchair Track: The Concord Neo Carbon

| November 18, 2008 | 1 Comment

Natalie writes… I am pretty sure that the Concord Neo Carbon is the most expensive pushchair on the UK market at present. With a prictag of £1699 and I’m sure that’s excluding ‘extras’ this is one serious chunk of cash on wheels. So what’s so special about it? Handmade in Germany, it’s a pushchair first [...]

The Pushchair Track: Quinny Zapp

| November 13, 2008 | 1 Comment

Natalie writes… I think it’s fairly safe to say that the Quinny Zapp totally changed the way people thought about lightweight pushchairs. The four-wheeled umbrella fold dominated and then along came the Quinny Zapp, a three wheeler that can become a travel system with a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix car seat. Weighing a very lightweight 6kg, [...]

The Pushchair Track: Micralite Toro

| November 12, 2008 | 0 Comments

Natalie writes… I’m quite a fan of the pushchair we almost owned, the Micralite Fastfold, and the Micralite Toro is a bigger variation with a difference; instead of having the hammock style seat of the Fastfold that gives that distinctive look, it has a typical pushchair seat so it can recline fully – The Fastfold [...]

The Pushchair Track: Air Buggy Mimi

| November 11, 2008 | 0 Comments

Aimed at the parent who wants to do a bit of everything, so pushing through busy urban streets to long walks, this is a 3-wheeler that I imagine competes with the likes of Phil and Teds and Baby Joggers but to name a few…. It’s got a streamlined appearance but surprisingly, this doesn’t translate into manouevrability based on the fact that whilst the front wheel does swivel as you’d expect, it doesn’t go into a fixed position so God help you if you end up anywhere particularly uneven and forget rough terrain.

Natalie writes… I’m a huge Brio fan, owning a number of their toys and I have plans to buy their Sleep Cotbed for ‘baby 2′, and now I see that they’re making a play for a spot in the fiercely competitive travel system market with their Brio ‘Go’ Travel System. I love the distinctive style [...]

Natalie writes… Well as I’m pregnant with ‘baby 2′, it’s only right that I feature the pushchair that I’m going to purchase (either this or the Vibe which will be featured soon). If you’re looking for a double buggy and don’t want to take up most of the pavement, the Phil and Ted’s Sport is [...]

I have a lot of friends who own Bugaboo Chameleon’s and honestly, even though it may get knocked by the likes of Which?, the consumer magazine and highly rated products reviewer, not one of my friends has a bad word to say about it. Why is it loved so much? Well whilst it’s certainly no [...]

The Pushchair Track: The Maclaren Techno XLR Travel System

| November 4, 2008 | 0 Comments

Natalie writes… The lightweight pushchair and travel system market is fiercely competitive and the Maclaren Techno XLR Travel System combines the two. This travel system takes the Maclaren XT, enhances it with some additional features like a reversible seat liner, lined hood, and a head hugger and apron and then steps into the unusual territory [...]

Natalie writes… For the next while, we have The Pushchair Track, a daily feature where I’ll be highlighting at least one pushchair or pram plus must have accessories every day because I realise that there are a hell of a lot out there on the market. Naturally it’ll only be stylish (but functional) numbers but [...]
