Super Hot Buy! Babytex Handknitted Baby Booties
Natalie writes…I grumpily padded downstairs on Saturday morning to answer the door to the postman but my mood quickly changed when I opened up the package and set eyes on a pair of these Babytex booties which are sold by Sweet Nursing. The bambino’s pair are in a delicious shade of orangey yellow with orange [...]
Review: Rose and Rebellion Baby Carrier
I love baby-wearing and have a couple of slings and baby carriers which I use regularly to carry my 20 month old daughter around, so I was really pleased to be able to try the Rose and Rebellion carrier. Concept: This is a soft, structured carrier which can be used to carry babies from 3 [...]
BG Loves: Ella Loves Personalised Pictures
Natalie writes…Back in November, Aoife, the creator of Ella Loves , a service where she creates bespoke, handmade pictures of your child called ‘My Loves’, got in touch and offered to commission one for the bambino. Composed of a photo and three words or phrases (their ‘loves’), which are printed onto cotton and then embroidered [...]
Kidmondo Online Baby Journals
Natalie writes…I was instantly curious when I found out about Kidmondo, that combines an online journal concept with social networking by allowing you to share your memories and milestones with friends and family in a secure environment. As someone who spends an awful lot of time online, I can certainly see the attraction of an [...]
Review: Moby Sling
Let’s face it, even if you’re a complete pram-a-holic, there are still some times when only a sling will do. Using public transport with a baby at any time even vaguely approaching rush hour, is definitely one of those times and this is where a the sling like the Moby comes in. Concept: The Moby [...]
Review: Babisil Silbottle
Caroline writes… As a mummy of a baby boy who has gone off the idea of having a bottle, and definitely prefers boobies, I have tried all kinds of different bottles. So, I was really pleased to find another one that I hadn’t heard of before, Babisil’s Silbottle. Concept: One of the key things Babisil [...]
Review: Skibz
Natalie writes… I wrote about Skibz a little while back and recently received one for the bambino to try out. Now admittedly, I thought the bambino was beyond wearing a bib outside of dinnertimes, so I was sceptical about how useful it would be. How wrong I was! The concept: Skibz are basically a half [...]
One Hot Changing Bag: Dante Beatrix Baby Pouf Changing Bag
Natalie writes… A few days ago, a large box arrived and when I opened it, I felt the soaring of those palpitations I get when I’m around something seriously desirable. As a handbag lover, this large changing bag in a ‘pouf’ large bowling bag style is totally up my street. The Dante Beatrix Baby Pouf [...]
Review: Bambo Eco Disposable Nappies
Caroline writes… Some of friends are so super green they have worm farms and no car (shock horror), so I always feel guilty when I get my disposable nappies out of the change bag. To feel less guilty I have tried more eco-friendly nappies (Nature Baby), but last time I used them they caused such [...]
Maggie and Rose Books
Natalie writes… I had the pleasure of receiving copies of Maggie & Roses’s new beautifully illustrated hardback books. It’s one story in two editions with the same illustrations in each, told from the girls perspective in ‘Lovely Story’ and from the boys in ‘Totally save the day and are heros’. It’s a unique concept which [...]
Review: DreamGenii Support Pillow
Natalie writes… Just over two weeks ago, I admit to squealing in excitement when I saw that my DreamGenii Support Pillow had arrived. I know a number of people that love this pillow and with quite a few uncomfortable nights under my belt already in this pregnancy combined with early backpain, it was all I [...]
Review: Scootababy Baby Carrier
I am a huge fan of baby-wearing and used to carry my daughter around in a sling all the time when she was a baby. However, as she got bigger and more wriggly, I found my original ring-sling and wraparound slings just too uncomfortable. I thought that our babywearing days were over, but then I [...]
Review: Ella’s Kitchen Sauces and Smoothies
They were brilliant when we were on the go with the bambino and I’ve missed them since she became too old for them, so of course I was delighted when Ethical Superstore sent me a few smoothies and one of their sauces to try out…. Value for Money – Like most ready made food, if you were to use it day in day out, it would be pretty pricey, however, as organic baby food goes, I think that the range is overall excellent value for money and certainly one of the cheaper options.
Review: Sleepy Nico Soft Structured Baby Carrier
This post was contributed by Erica our newest product reviewer – welcome! I love the idea of baby wearing and I’m the owner of 4 different slings/baby carriers to prove it. Somehow the perfect sling has so far alluded me, so I was keen to try out the Sleepy Nico carrier. For the first 6-8 [...]
Review: Bug in a Rug Baby Blanket
The concept Imagine a cross between a blanket and a pramsuit, and you’re starting to get your head around the Bug in a Rug. Billed as ‘Australia’s favourite way to wrap a baby’, it’s a hooded blanket with two little feet on the bottom, and wrap-around Velcro sides. I have to say, I was initially [...]
