The Pushchair Track: The Bugaboo Chameleon
I have a lot of friends who own Bugaboo Chameleon’s and honestly, even though it may get knocked by the likes of Which?, the consumer magazine and highly rated products reviewer, not one of my friends has a bad word to say about it. Why is it loved so much? Well whilst it’s certainly no [...]
The Pushchair Track: The Maclaren Techno XLR Travel System
Natalie writes… The lightweight pushchair and travel system market is fiercely competitive and the Maclaren Techno XLR Travel System combines the two. This travel system takes the Maclaren XT, enhances it with some additional features like a reversible seat liner, lined hood, and a head hugger and apron and then steps into the unusual territory [...]
The Pushchair Track: Nipabout 3 in 1 Travel System
Natalie writes… For the next while, we have The Pushchair Track, a daily feature where I’ll be highlighting at least one pushchair or pram plus must have accessories every day because I realise that there are a hell of a lot out there on the market. Naturally it’ll only be stylish (but functional) numbers but [...]
The Pushchair Track: Britax Baby Safe Sleeper
Natalie writes… The baby products industry can be a funny one because when I was researching pushchairs and car seats whilst pregnant with the bambino, the concept of lie flat car seats seemed to be generally pooh poohed and not the done thing in the UK with it being a more continental behaviour. But it [...]
The Pushchair Track: Limited Edition Butchers Stripe Maclaren Quest
Natalie writes… I have been wanting to feature this buggy from the Maclaren Objects of Design Collection which has included pushchairs from the likes of Phillipe Starck and Lulu Guiness. It’s a Butchers Stripe limited edition version of the Maclaren Quest and it’s to celebrate 40 years since the founder Owen Maclaren invented the first [...]
Bargain Alert! 30% off the Mamas and Papas Skate Pushchair
Natalie writes… Mamas and Papas have got some pretty good reductions on at the moment with a surprising 30% off a number of pushchairs in their offering including the award winning Skate which I wrote about several months ago here on BG. It’s a travel system (it comes with adaptors to use it with the [...]
Bargain Alert! Leebruss Take Off Pushchair Half Price!
I recently wrote about this still little known in the UK pushchair, the Leebruss Take Off Pushchair and I’ve just found a brilliant offer at Kiddicare where it’s now half price reduced from £199 down to £99.99. You know when other manufacturers describe their pushchair as ‘compact’? Well none are like the Take Off which [...]
Mutsy Spider Pushchair
Natalie writes… I’ve always associated Mutsy with stylish but heavy travel systems but much like its competitor Quinny, it competes in the ‘lightweight’ market with their Mutsy Spider. At 8.5kg though, it’s not really that lightweight although considerably lighter than other pushchairs in its range, but when you consider that a Quinny Zapp is 6 [...]
Designer Pushchair Alert: Concord Neo Carbon
If you’re the type that coughed a lot or even swooned at the price of a Stokke Xplory then I would avoid reading the last line of this post… If you’re the type that has to have the pushchair that hardly anyone else has or just happen to be feeling flush during the credit crunch, [...]
Leebruss Take Off Unique Pushchair
The Leebruss Take Off Pushchair, is designed by ABC, one of the world’s leading pram design houses and often described by people as a “buggy in a suitcase”, so my interest was immediately piqued. Features include: ultra small folding size so that it can fit in the overhead luggage compartment on a plane – how [...]
Hot Off The Press: Quinny by Henrik Vibskov collection to be sold exclusively by Harrods
It was just two weeks ago when I raved about the new Henrik Vibskov collection for Quinny and bemoaned the fact that it seemed like it was just destined for a select few countries in Europe. I was booing and hissing away to myself but it turns out that it is going to be sold [...]
Euro Pushchair Envy: Quinny by Henrik Vibskov
Natalie writes… I have had a se-ri-ous droolfest over the limited collection for Quinny that has been created by Dutch fashion designer (and musician and filmmaker), Henrik Vibskov. Despite honing his craft at Central St Martins, I see that he didn’t make sure that the collection was stocked in the UK as the strictly limited [...]
Micralite Fastfold Buggy
So I’ve been thinking about buying a new pushchair and selling my Quinny Buzz and Mamas and Papas Nipi. It’s been an ongoing deliberation for a while and if I do get a new pushchair, it would be a toss up between this and the Bugaboo Bee. The Micralite Fastfold was actually our second choice [...]
Possible Future Purchase: The Bugaboo Bee
Well I actually love the look of it but I did try one out in my beloved John Lewis – I never thought I’d like this store but it’s so handy and you know I’m already addicted to Waitrose!… So yes it looks hot to trot, it’s compact, and whilst it’s not as light as the Nipi which is 6.4kg versus the Bugaboo Bee’s 7.7kg, I find very lightweight pushchairs are great for travelling and flinging in the boot but they aren’t the most robust and I can feel too much when I push them.
Silver Cross Dazzle: Style on a Budget
Kat writes…. What a name, what a stroller! It was researched on the streets of the world’s fashion capitals and inspired by noodles. The premise is a stylish light-weight buggy which will take your bambino from birth to toddlerhood and on some exciting trips in between. It has the standard features you would expect from [...]
