Weaning & Foodie Roundup
January 13, 2010 by Natalie · Leave a Comment
It’s been a while since I featured anything food or weaning related, even though I’ve been weaning baby Nia for the past few months. However you choose to wean your child (there’s traditional, baby-led, and a mix of the two), there are some rather cool buys out there both on the practical and food front. [...]
Babytec Gyro Bowl
September 23, 2009 by Kat · Leave a Comment
It’s a while since I’ve had to think about weaning but suddenly the baby is six months old and swiping food from my hands. As we are a Baby Led Weaning household there is not a great deal of equipment involved but this snack bowl has caught my eye. The Babytec Gyro Bowl is a [...]
The Wean Machine
July 22, 2009 by Natalie · Leave a Comment
It’s been a while since I’ve featured anything weaning related and although baby Nia’s only 13 weeks, I’m already looking forward to cranking out fab meals with my Beaba Babycook steamer and blender. But if you want an even quicker, simpler, cheaper alternative then it’s worth checking out The Wean Machine. Whilst it doesn’t steam, [...]
Baby Bjorn Plate and Spoon
June 13, 2008 by Guest Post · Leave a Comment
Brenda writes…. This has to be one of the most stylish plate and spoon sets that your baby could own so how can you feed your bambino from anything else! The twin coloured plate is in a 3 leaf clover shape and the spoon is tailored to the shape of the plate, plus it’s suitable [...]
Moomin

I have a vague recollection of watching the Moomins when I was a kid, a slightly dark TV show based on the central characters from a series of books and comics by Finnish writer Tove Jannson. They were basically a load of trolls that looked a bit like hippos that all lived in Moomin Valley.
Me-Feed-Me Dinnerware by Salmon Luke

It’s definitely a problem when your baby wants to feed themselves with a spoon but it ends up anywhere but their mouthes and you both end up frustrated, and Me-Feed-Me by Salmon Luke is another attempt to resolve this issue…. They’re the only products that use this material and the bacteria fighting performance is unaffected by repeated washing, scrubbing, or even scratching, which is probably music to the ears of any parent who has been scared by recent scaremongering stories about plastic.
Ella’s Kitchen Organic Baby Food
Whenever I’m out having a hectic day with the bambino using the tube and train, people always ask what I’m feeding her and where I got it and they’re always asking about these really cool food tubes from Ella’s Kitchen Organic Baby Food…. They are 100% organic baby fruit and vegetables with nothing else added and I love chucking one into my handbag with a spoon and heading out as they are suitable hot or cold and the food can be squeezed out onto a spoon, so I don’t need a bowl.
My Weaning Essentials

£7.79 from Amazon Tommee Tippee First Cup I’ve tried a few cups and this very basic sippy cup which is just like the ones they had when I was a kid, is the best one. Sometimes less is more and even though it is handy to have a non-spill cup, trying to teach the bambino a new skill that she doesn’t really need for drinking out of these other cups, is beyond my interest.
Skip Hop Palette Plate

You get a slip-resistant Palette Plate that stays in place during mealtimes, with a slip resistant space for a cup…. Well I for me, I like the look of it and it’s the type of thing that’s right up my street but…it’s a hell of a lot cheaper in the US at $28 which is around £13….
Küster’s New K1 and K2 Highchairs and Cushion Packs
March 10, 2008 by Natalie · Leave a Comment
I’ve previously written about Küster’s fab K1 and K2 highchairs and they’ve now updated the range with new chair and cushion colours which include the K1 in beech with lime (left) and the K2 is also now available in beech. Küster’s online store have already sold out of some of the new stock and they [...]
Cheeky Chimp Feed Me Spoon
March 7, 2008 by Natalie · 2 Comments
Yes you could just wrap up your spoon in kitchen roll or even a Ziploc bag but I love this cheap and cheerful Cheeky Chimp Feed Me Spoon and holder from NPW. How cute is the chimp? Personally, if I was still going to work and bringing my breakfast in with me, I’d get one [...]
The Baby Station
February 27, 2008 by Natalie · 2 Comments
The Baby Station by Babeco is an integrated seat and play base for babies aged 4 -12 months. The idea is that your baby can sit and access their toys and feel secure with a moulded foam seat for support. They get to play and learn for longer in their secure environment and parent wise, [...]
K1 and K2 Highchairs by Küster
If you’ve been reading this blog for long enough then you’ll know that I don’t like to sacrifice style for function, which is why I really like the K1 and K2 highchairs from Küster, “creators of beautiful and useful products for children”. Loving it! The K1 (left) comes in a variety of colours and lasts [...]
I Love my Svan Highchair
February 5, 2008 by Natalie · 3 Comments
So towards the back end of last year I spent a lot of time agonising over which highchair to buy and in the end, I went with the Svan highchair. I note that it’s now becoming popular with celebs after reading that Jessica Alba was given one at her televised baby shower with Tyra Banks… [...]
Review: Beaba Babycook and Blender
January 23, 2008 by Natalie · 5 Comments
When it was time for me to wean, I decided that as often as possible I wanted to make my baby’s food. As a result, it was essential that I had something simple to take a lot of the legwork out of it, otherwise it wouldn’t have been long before I was beating a path [...]
