The Bednest

March 1, 2010 by · 6 Comments

Sometimes a product is so well designed it takes my breath away. When I saw the Bednest I could have wept as it was exactly what I needed when I had my second child *last* year. The Bednest is an elegant crib designed for use from birth to around six months. It is a [...]

BabaBing Lobo Reclining Bouncer

October 20, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

I took one look at BabaBing’s Lobo reclining bouncer and felt a surge of lust followed by a surge of disappointment that the baby’s already 6 months old and sitting up. Sigh… The Lobo reclining bouncer is definitely one of those baby items that you’d be proud to leave out even when it’s not in [...]

Collaborating is all the rage in baby gear over the past year, as we’ve seen monogrammed Marc Jacobs and cheeky Small Paul by Paul Frank with Bugaboo, and Henry Vibskov for Quinny. Now we have a surprise one, with DwellStudio of the contemporary bedding, nursery accessories, and toys, meets Fisher Price, they of retro fantastic [...]

Mawok Baby Hammock

June 24, 2009 by · 4 Comments

Don’t get me wrong, I love our Miyo baby hammock (I’m convinced it’s the reason our little one slept through so early), but I couldn’t help but go slightly gaga over the Mawok , a new contender in the swinging cradle market from Sweden. Like most Scandinavian things, it has exquisite design details – crisp [...]

Se-ri-ous-ly Expensive Cots and Cribs at Punkin Patch

September 18, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

I tell you, I have been over at Punkin Patch, a relatively new store that focuses on selling baby gear for whimsical nurseries, and over there, there is no credit crunch going on as they have some seeeeriously expensive cots and cribs! I could feature much of their range but I thought I’d highlight a [...]

This is similar in style to the moses basket we featured in damask a while back from the same store, Baby Angels, and they have updated their range include even more fabulous moses baskets, including the Mod Dots version pictured. The cool colours of the Mod Dots pattern are featured on all the included bits [...]

Goo-Goo Rocka 2008 Jeli babi from Cosatto

July 29, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

I like this rocker as it is in a bold colour and has a extra snugly newborn head hugger and seat cushion, which is handy if you have a small baby as they can sometimes look a little lost. The cover is removable and washable which is a necessity. There is also an interactive toy [...]

The West Country Willow Crib is made from Somerset willow [...]

Voyage Cradle by Kenneth Cobonpue

June 9, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

Natalie writes… I must say that I am lusting after this cradle even if this is at the ‘upper end’ of the cradle market. The designer, Kenneth Cobonpue was inspired on his return to his home in the Philipines when he realised he could used natural fibers and materials to create contemporary furniture. The Voyage [...]

Silvercross Sleepover Deluxe

April 14, 2008 by · 1 Comment

Anyway…I checked out the Silvercross Sleepover Deluxe everyone has been going on about and my first thought was “Well thank God that they’re offering more than a moses basket for over 300 quid!” It’s a travel system comprising of chasis (really don’t understand why these would be sold separately but they are in some stores…), a carrycot to use as pram to also use as a moses basket to also use as a reversible pushchair seat, plus a handmade wooden rocking stand, and a cover for converting it into a moses basket.

Knoppa Hanging Cradle: reduced!

April 7, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

25.jpgMy beady little eyes have spotted that the Knoppa Hanging Cradle that I wrote about several months ago is now £109 instead of the usual £135 that everyone else is selling it for, over at one of my favourite spots Pergradi .
