Stokke Table Top

Stokke Table Top

I know enough Stokke Tripp Trapp owners to know that they tend to passionately love their chair although the one thing that they always have to reconcile themselves to is the lack of tray which some find difficult to hack in the early months of use when your baby is…well…messy!

The Stokke Table Top offers the solution by being a tray that mounts directly onto the dinner table continuing Stokke’s ethos of having your child at the dinner table eating and engaging with the family. Incorporating a play element, it comes with six interchangeable templates that can be placed under the transparent tray. They can learn letters, numbers, shapes, plus you can also encourage story telling, and there’s an ‘inspiration book’ to help you get the most use out of it, with the templates geared to different age levels for progressive play ad use.

It’s got a spilling rail that prevents leaking, suction cups for gripping, and is made from plastic free from bisphenol and phthalates. It is however, rather pricey, which means you need to be a pretty hardcore fan to appreciate it at a RRP of £45 as I suspect the joys and benefits will be lost on anyone who doesn’t buy into the Stokke or eating at the table philosophy. Available from Back In Action (£44) and Kiddicare (£42.95).
