As a child I got great amusement out of my jack in the box, winding it up and holding my breath expectantly for the inevitable pop-up moment that would elicit a little giggle. Naturally when I clapped eyes on this sock monkey version from Cox and Cox, I became instantly enamoured with this contemporary update on a traditional toy. This quirky knitted friend and its bold, playfully illustrated metal box makes for much amusement and when they outgrow it, it’ll make a great decorative piece in their bedroom.
