Shadow puppets are a brilliant way to encourage children’s imaginations and offer great scope for creating wild and wonderful tales. These sets by Etsy store Orange Moon Toys are some of the best I’ve seen. With a large selection of designs – we’re loving the dinosaurs, sea creatures and fairytale court – each set comes with five card shapes, clip-on puppet sticks, instructions and a fact card and costs $30, plus $13 shipping. Or, if you’re feeling massively artistic, opt for a DIY kit for $20 and make puppets of your child’s favourite storybook characters or even your own family.

Just been to Etsy store and Orange Moon Toys are on ‘extended maternity leave’. Its such a shame to post something that is not available.
