Review: Elle TENs Machine

Elle Tens Maternity Tens Obstretic Tens Machine

BabyGeek writes….

My due date came and went. Days (and weeks) passed and still no baby so I occupied myself with filling my hospital bag. I hardly used any of the contents but it made me happy to have it. One item which was in use long before we got to hospital was my Elle TENs Machine.

The Concept: A TENs machine uses weak electrical pulses to interrupt pain signals. These pulses are delivered through sticky pads positioned on your back and controlled by you. The longer it is on, the more effective it is. It comes with a comprehensive instruction book which is simple to follow. The electrodes slide into the pads quickly. Positioning the pads is easy (especially if someone else does it for you) and in minutes you are up and running, so to speak.

In Use: My experience was very positive. Aside from the twitchy feeling it is hard to know if it’s making a difference - until you take it off. I took a shower after a few hours and certainly felt the difference labouring without the TENs. Using the BOOST button during contractions increases the intensity and also changes the sensation which is good to focus on.

Any negatives: I don’t have anything bad to say about it and nor do any of my friends who have borrowed it.

Price:Bambino Goodies Try It Logo I bought rather than hired as I figured I will use it a second time and then sell it on eBay thus making it an economy. So far myself and three of my friends have used it (with replacement pads each time). £56.95 from Express Yourself Mums.

My rating: A whole-hearted 5/5!
