When BG reader Eve tipped me off about Bold & Noble a little while back, I was instantly enamoured although checking out their range of hand pulled screen prints in modern, eclectic designs in the flesh at Kids.modern has made me (and the boyf) dedicated fans.

Affordable artwork, especially for children’s living spaces, that ticks the style sensibility boxes isn’t that easy, plus, many parents, including me, don’t feel like chunking up three figures.

Fortunately you have no such worries here as their prints which are a very decent sized 50 X 70 cm are £30 plus delivery and will fit into standard frames, such as very affordable ones from Ikea.

Eve discovered Bold & Noble when she spent time searching for a lower case alphabet frieze or poster and came across the fabulous ‘Birds A-Z’ which features birds and the alphabet on a wire against an azure or hot pink background.

I could do a snatch and grab on all of them but loved the modern interpretation of Noah’s Ark (top), which features a glorious, symmetrical depiction of the animals, waves, and ark against a poppy red or azure background.

There’s also the Creatures A-Z (left), the fabulous Alphabot cleverly structured from letters (middle), and their height charts (right), plus there are of course a few of the prints that will look very at home outside of a child’s room, such as my sitting room….

Hotfoot it to Bold & Noble.
