Dorothy Perkins Maternity Purple Check Shirt With varying purple hues and metallic threading for a slightly glamourous touch, this will look great in autumn and even comes recommended by Gok Wan (Is he everywhere or is it my imagination?). £22 at Dorothy Perkins in size 8-22. It also comes in a collared version (£25) with no ties on the sleeves and gathering at the sides for added fit.

This has more detail than the other shirts with the cute ruffles and an elasticated, ruched detail waist which could stop the whole breeze going up your bump thing… Excellent value and with some nice touches, it’s definitely the pick of the bunch.
£16 from New Look in sizes 8-18
