Pom Pom Alpaca Scarf by Peruvian Knitwear
December 11, 2008 by Natalie · 3 Comments
I saw this scarf several weeks back in Marie Claire but it was sold out when I went to check it out!
Handmade in Peru from 55% alpaca and 45% acrylic, these purple scarves with colourful pom pom’s are ethically made in fair trade factories.
Alpaca is an increasingly popular eco fibre that’s lightweight and insulating with a feel similar to cashmere and angora and this scarf and the very cool chullo (woolly hat) are some of the best buys from Peruvian Knitwear and will look fab as you strut around in the super cold winter weather!
Peruvian Knitwear are due to get some stock in around 15th December and you can pre-order now to ensure you get yours.
£30 each. The hat is £22. Also great as a gift.
I did a post a couple of months ago on their stunning handmade bodysuits.

Been lusting after the matching poncho(38 quid) but have promised the hubby no more shopping til Jan. Trying to sell it to him anyway as it has been so cold so far this winter and ponchos are so easy to slip on over their coats… wish me luck
“It was half price in the pre Christmas sale!” or “You wouldn’t want me to freeze up over the Christmas and it will save you money because you won’t have to spend money on a new coat” or “Gosh…I can’t believe how cold I was in my coat earlier. I was looking at the price of a new one and it was shocking. Well over a hundred quid….What’s that? You think it would be more economical to buy a poncho?….” Tee hee! Good luck!
Sadly if it was for me he would have no problem with buying it, but as it is for the bubba and she is already the proud owner of 3 capes/ponchos, I’m afraid there is no persuading him. Sigh…
