Play Silks

We love getting tip offs from our readers and this one from Rachel is hot. Play Silks are large dyed silk cloths which can be used in creative play. As they are simply pieces of fabric there is no limitation to the different ways they can be used so one day they could be butterfly wings and the next they could make a den. They are a wonderful addition to the dressing up box and will encourage those developing imaginations.
You can buy silk playcloths from Myriad (my favourite natural play and Waldorf inspired shop) with prices starting at £8.50 for a single 90 x 90 cm cloth. Another great suggestion Rachel made was to hunt out silk scarves from charity shops and eBay.
