Pictures from Sweet Dimple

I am always drawn to baby items with lettering on them. I can’t quite explain it. Perhaps all that time I spent choosing Little One’s name means I am still rather proud of it, and desperate to fill my house with items that have it written on? Either way, I found myself making a beeline for these pictures from Sweet Dimple. I found them at Greenwich Market, but – hurrah! – they’re available online too.
There is a whole range of personalised pictures, with each design aimed at a particular event like a birth, christening, or even weddings, anniversaries and bar mitzvahs. Each picture is bespoke, with the details of your event (like the baby’s name and date of birth, or the date of the anniversary) printed on. I particularly like the ones with buttons on. They just have an adorably vintage feel to them that appeals to me somehow.
The picture on the left with the pink heart is for a baby girl, and I think it’s just on the right side of cute: very plain and under-stated. It’s 25 x 25cm and priced from £25.
This one (right) on the other hand, is much brighter and jollier. Although it’s badged as for a boy, I think the primary colours and the circus style script would work for a boy or a girl. Also 25 x 25cm, this one is £30.
If this has got you thinking about artwork for your baby’s room, check out Natalie’s recent post, ‘Where to buy … artwork for baby nurseries and children’s rooms’ which has plenty more ideas to whet your appetite.
