A few days ago, a large box arrived and when I opened it, I felt the soaring of those palpitations I get when I’m around something seriously desirable.
As a handbag lover, this large changing bag in a ‘pouf’ large bowling bag style is totally up my street. The Dante Beatrix Baby Pouf is made from wipe-clean lightweight nylon canvas with yummy high quality pearly Italian leather trim.
It’s not just a changing bag; you could use it as a weekend/travel bag or use it as a an oversized handbag when your bambino outgrows nappies. Trust me, when you’re at that stage where you need to leave the house with umpteen nappies, changes of clothes, and feeding gear, nobody could guess this was a changing bag!

They’re New York based designers of highly desirable children’s backpacks and changing bags with a very similar ethos to us – just because you’ve had a child, doesn’t mean that either one of you need to chuck your style out the window! Sold exclusively in the UK at one of my favourite new online haunts, Just Gorgeous, they’re collection is refreshing cool – I’ll be featuring the backpacks later which are must haves.
The zip opens up nice and wide (there’s nothing worse than a large bag that doesn’t open up enough), making looking for stuff or packing it a doddle. The two exterior pockets are nice and wide. Inside there are two bottle pockets at each end which aren’t intrusive on the space in the bag when not in use. There’s a zipped pocket, three small pockets, and a matching changing mat in the same fabric with a velcro wrap strap.
Quite frankly, I love it! The guy at the Post Office is going to have to prise it out of my fingers. I’ll be like Whoopi Goldberg in ‘Ghost’ when she doesn’t want to let go of the $4m cheque she’s forced to donate to the nuns…
Fortunately, I shall have one of my own in a few weeks time….tee hee!
